One more of the local critters - these commonly inhabit ruins and old cisterns and walls - Whip Scorpion - it's actually fairly harmless but scary looking, mine go up to 6" feet to feet or length of whips, but it's believed they can be 18"! (US Virgin Islands, my pottery studio).
