I think it looks kind of like an indigo that has recently molted, but indigo snakes don't range very far north of Florida.

Climate change. Global warming advancing 30 miles a year on average. I see it with the migratory birds arriving earlier every year. The signs are everywhere if one looks.

@Donotbelieve, thank you, don't know of those; the australian ones are all a bit slower.
@Donotbelieve, not all of them. i do not get the goose flesh sensation anymore with most of them. never had an encounter with a territorial or aggressive snake, & i've lived in the bush for 17 years now.
