That happened to us once. I opened the door to let kitty in & he went right to the food dish, knowing where everything was, but it wasn't our kitty. It didn't take long to figure out he was slightly heftier than ours.
Then I used to have mummy & son years ago who looked very similar.....also tuxies.
If they get along, I'd say you've got two cats.
Now they will take turns visiting each other's home to try to keep from starving. lol
Neither of them look like they are starving.
