Spike usually wakes me up very early for their breakfast and I usually go back to sleep to get the rest of my nights rest. This morning, back to bed and Spike decides he should lay behind my pillow. This is not unusual but suddenly a long, low growl. He's steadily staring out the window. Ears forward, still as a statue. He must have stayed like that 15 minutes. Yeah, not conducive to sleep. I couldn't see anything but then I wouldn't unless it was the size of an elephant. I wear contact lenses and am practically blind without them. I had, of course, watched something creepy on tv. Sometimes I don't like living alone
Pay attention to your cats . They see and hear things we don't . May have been some kind of wild animal in your back yard . Mine work better than door bells . When they assume that posture , I know it's time to check what ever they seem to be looking towards . They're usually right .

Posted by LaurenIt's my first grand's fifth Gotcha Day and this is her in the arms of my daughter as they drove home.
Posted by LaurenIt would be warmer for us both if he'd get on my lap, but it has to be his idea - though he still likes to stay close.
