I don't presume to know as much as Chomsky's little finger, but I disagree with his criticism of the BDS movement. Look how it has been outlawed all over, in a blatant violation of the first amendment. I don't see any mainstream Democrats siding with BDS.

Whatever its value across the ocean, BDS and the right to participate in it and support it, is actually a fight for the heart of the American people. Explain to people what BDS is, even with very simplistic explanations, and tell them it is being outlawed, you may get their attention.

Convince a university or union to divest and you have woken some people up.

People do not understand the Israel situation. If they did, they would not fall for the "protected nation" crap.

It may be in many cases more a protest than an effective boycott, but the point of a protest is to raise awareness.
