Afghanistan’s Loud, Mute Voices---Afghan youth with hearing loss speak through art
Brave challenged deaf youth in Afghanistan confront the multiple social issues in their country with hopes for change.
How do these courageous and talented young people survive and where do they find inspiration for their art?
The Government vaccines took away my art business after 47 years and 2 years of suffering over it. The art history and culture influence is alot longer and deeper than any political or religious force. I'm thriving again, so I understand the Afghans communication power throught the arts.
Arts and coulter were widely wiped out when the US interfered with Russia's attempted backing of the socialist party in the late 70's as Carter was goated into it. Afghanistan was just beginning a new period of advancing growth under the socialist party after a terrible war where they had much the same society Libya enjoyed. I hope they can manage to reach that type of society again. But it's going to take a lot of help from outside countries willing to work with the Taliban. Quite frankly, for them to allow this type of influence to be happening may be a strong indication they aren't as bad as the MSCM is portraying them to be. Which is an occurring event when western countries interfere, arts and culture take a big blow as they depend so highly on social structure.
Artist are the lowest end on the financial totem pole. Performing arts are the first to get hit. Personally I would die without the freedom of my compassion, expresion and art work.
@Castlepaloma as these social structures have been taking a big hit in the US since covid hit. A number of have been shut down at universities who have stopped funding them in regards to many aspects. Austerity measures throughout the country since 2001 have left them widely open to only organizations as the primary factors for funding has collapsed.
In the Donbass regions, they only managed to keep running from a million dollar donation from someone. Which they still struggle due to many in the arts having to join the fighting which has left them tight on performers. [rtd.rt.com]
Yes, my professional comedians friends are performing on subways and parks. My 47 year main income of snow and sandsculpture were destroyed by covid where no crowds allowed. And no travel for unvaxxed people like me. I pickd up chainsaw and carving alot of smiles. Now can't keep up with the orders, a beautiful problem.
