I really enjoyed "Saving Sirga: Journey into the Heart of a Lion" on Netflix. I originally put off watching it because I thought it would be a lot of corny anthropomorphism, but it was actually very interesting (and heartwarming).

I highly recommend A Place Called Chiapas It isn't so much atheist per se. But it is a very interesting documentary (about the Zapatistas in Mexico).

"Chasing Coral" is about the bleaching and dying of the coral reefs around the world. Terribly sad, but interesting and important. Also, "Chasing Ice" shows the increasing rate of glaciers receding in most of the world.
