EXERCISE AS THERAPY
Had a bad day. Knucklehead at work crossed a line with me one time too many. Forced myself to face how I'm still stuck in a bad pattern of behavior which at one point in my life I knew better. So I channeled that anger and frustration into my workout. Cussed under my breath at that dumbbell that didn't want to move. Growled at those cables that wouldn't cooperate. Almost cried during my 40 mins. of old man fat-burning. Luckily I workout in the middle of the night so nobody called for me to get a psych-eval. I know this didn't really solve anything in the long term but it helped me tonight and I'm getting close to abs. Not bad for 55 if I do say so myself.
You are doing good! I am glad that I am not the only one who goes to work out to take out the frustrations of the day...it is a more positive thing to do rather than beat the crap out of people...people ask me why I lift...I tell them so I can speak to them nicely. lol Good job...keep on keeping on...btw...damn good for 55!
Thanks ? This workout had a particular connection to specific incidents but I'm like you too. My working out help keeps me sane.
Better than pounding whiskey
...and a lot of other unhealthy avoidance strategies.

Posted by Aeonia25850Just for a laugh! Right now I'm pushing these legs of mine hard with the weights and on the bike and am seeing good results.

Posted by SilviaParkI had my first triathlon in Sunday, an indoor USATri60. Lots of room for improvement, but I'm just a beginner swimmer, and haven't taken my bike on the road yet :)
