I've myself been on a gym hiatus for 14 months (started back week before last while in Vancouver). I got a few things to make up for, improve metabolism, decrease blood sugars, decrease bp, weight improve strength (surprisingly, I did a strenthening workout yesterday followed by a HIIT (5 exercises for 1 minute with one min rest in between). I've read about mixing HIIT with LSD (long slow distance) and will see if I can gear my base building to that...
I hate burpees and mountain climbers...but they do seem to help with my stamina and I can gauge if I am improving by the number I can do or the number of minutes...I like things I can quantify...good luck getting back into it...

Posted by Aeonia25850Just for a laugh! Right now I'm pushing these legs of mine hard with the weights and on the bike and am seeing good results.
