Need to lose weight. hoping by reading your success stories I can do it
80%+ of your success-or not-will be from what you eat. Investigate low carb, moderate protein, high-fat diets. They work and align with what we ate when we evolved. Try looking into CrossFit.
I started exercising 7 years ago. I was all of 135lbs @ 6'1" . Quite the skinny computer nerd I'm currently sitting at 225lbs and 10% body fat... When I started all I wanted to do was to "tone up" and "look good naked", I may have over done it a bit, but in all honesty, I've never felt better about myself.
When people ask what I did to look like this, my go to response is "be consistent". If you want to lose weight, track what you eat and expend more than what you consume. You don't have to go crazy at the gym or do fad diets; I drink beer, eat pizza and love chocolate, but I offset that with a 5 day a week power lifting routine at the gym.
In other words, find what works for you, and stick with it. The first month will be the most difficult. The second month you'll start noticing subtle changes, and by month three, if you're doing it correctly, others will notice. For me, that's when I was hooked.
Anyways, feel free to ask any questions.
If you drink liquid candy, that the first action you should change. I recommend only water and coffee

Posted by SilviaParkI had my first triathlon in Sunday, an indoor USATri60. Lots of room for improvement, but I'm just a beginner swimmer, and haven't taken my bike on the road yet :)
