Question for the walkers and runners. Do you walk or run regardless of weather? I have always admired people that are out there rain or shine!
If I'm training for a distance race, and I'm on a schedule, then I'll run regardless. If I don't have anything coming up, I'll take it easy. I did join the Y recently, and I've used the treadmill a couple times, so that's an option, but not for a long run.
I run everyday ... No matter what ...
Wow, that's dedication! Do you run on a treadmill during the worst winter weather?
@kensmile4u I go to a gym...
@Cutiebeauty Good for you! It's been my lifestyle since I was 12. I try to go to the gym for cardio and weight training when I'm not swimming laps. Best wishes for your health during and after your pregnancy.
@kensmile4u swimming is good too as an alternative to running ... I have a pool in my backyard ... In the summer, I run and swim
Not a runner but when my knees get better I love going for walks in any weather other than rain.
How are your knees, btw? I am having surgery in January..can't wait to get back to HIIT...
@thinktwice Replaced right one's doing great. Getting left one replaced next month. Last week before I started full keto I leg pressed 810 for 8 reps so getting better. Thanks for asking!?
@thinktwice What kind of surgery are you having?
@kmdskit3 I have a torn meniscus in my left knee...arthroscopy....out patient...I had cortisone injections in July and October but it did not really help so this is what they recommend...I have been doing modified workouts with my trainer, but no squats and no pressure on the knee...I can't stand it!
@thinktwice Synvisc? Hyaluronic Acid? Unloader brace?
@kmdskit3 I have tried everything from PT and I do wear a brace...I drink bone broth daily and do keto, so I am doing all I can but the damage is physical per the MRI...it has to be repaired.
@thinktwice Ok. Good luck. I'll post my after surgery pics again if you will post yours too.?

Posted by SilviaParkI had my first triathlon in Sunday, an indoor USATri60. Lots of room for improvement, but I'm just a beginner swimmer, and haven't taken my bike on the road yet :)
