OK, so this past week I have not been able to workout aside from evening strolls due to constant moving. Despite eating hearty Indian food (chicken, mutton, rice, veggies etc) I am trying to keep active...how about you? When not being able to do your workout, what do you supplement it with?
Walking is actual very good exercise...good for you!
I find just eating consistently about the same everyday is the best for me no matter if I workout or not...I will leave out a fruit or other carb if necessary, or fast longer if I overdid the day before...
I was in Kolapur yesterday and did a bit of walking and the day before was in the market and got a few bananas...I love bananas when walking...
@VineetHonkan I don't eat bananas any more...I loved them when I lived in the tropics but they have too much sugar for me now and they give me gas...I would love to be eating Indian food...I love curries and spicy meals and the Naan bread(which I also must watch due to carbs!)...have fun and walk away your calories!
When unable to work out I cut way down on carbs.
...so you supplement your diet with fat and protein...That's an interesting way to go about it.
@VineetHonkan I adjust my portion sizes to the amount of exercise I get. Obviously if you're exercising less and burning fewer calories something has to be cut out of the meal. I cut carbs. No need to substitute. When I am back to full exercise mode I add the car back in for energy.
@SukiSue Interesting...I was toying with that idea in the past about diet with workouts...ie more carbs for building aerobic base, then more protein for the hypetrophy and strength phase...When I return to Toronto next week I will be back to jump roping and squats (I'm focusing on the 30 day 100 squats/day challenge)...aside from that I will be working out my body hypertrophy styles...
@SukiSue I'll post pics (if I am allowed to to take pics of me working out at my gym)...

Posted by SilviaParkI had my first triathlon in Sunday, an indoor USATri60. Lots of room for improvement, but I'm just a beginner swimmer, and haven't taken my bike on the road yet :)
