Struggling with fitness and weight. I was sick so much over the winter now I'm trying to get back in shape but don't seem to be making any progress. So frustrating.
It can be so challenging and frustrating, especially if not seeing results. I do daily cardio and strength training as often as I can manage (I work a lot of double shifts) my weight loss is around a pound a week. High protein, low carb diet and a lot of encouragement from my Facebook friends ?
If you've started, it's a start. What are you doing to get back into shape? Share with the group. I know you have lots of moral support here. =] I've found that I have to work harder, or at least REALLY stick to my workout routine to maintain my weight. If I want to lose weight, I need to make some diet modifications AND keep up the exercise regimen. I think there are some certified trainers here who might chime in and can give you some quality guidance.
Me too. Had gallbladder surgery last year, and ever since I have been gaining weight back. I am active when I'm not at work, but it's that sedentary job life that gets me.
I hearya. I caught... not the flu, exactly, but something that left me with bronchitis. I've been coughing too much and too violently to even think about working out for the last two weeks and some change. I'm sure I've gained back every last pound and then some. ?

Posted by Aeonia25850I hate to say it, but this does happen. Especially around new years!
Posted by Aeonia25850Just for a laugh! Right now I'm pushing these legs of mine hard with the weights and on the bike and am seeing good results.

Posted by SilviaParkI had my first triathlon in Sunday, an indoor USATri60. Lots of room for improvement, but I'm just a beginner swimmer, and haven't taken my bike on the road yet :)
