Now that I'm back to my normal health, I can continue my workouts. Except this week, I have to cover a vacation. This weekend, I'll do a 2 hr workout tomorrow or on Sunday. I have been doing lunges at home, since I've not been able to go to the gym in 3 weeks.
I'm a tad bit scared this summer to wear shorts in public. Last year I had chicken legs until I remembered to do my legs. In 1 month my legs got thicker. My calves too. I got hit on a lot last year. I don't want that kind of attention. I wore bootcut jeans on the bus and some woman said my legs look great! Uh... Thanks, I guess? I workout to be healthy. Not necessarily to look hot. I tend to hide my body when I'm out in public. The shorts I have are short workout shorts. Under Armour and some nice Wal-Mart ones that are for casual wear or for the gym.
Should I be plucky and wear them in the summer? It will get hot in CO Springs.
My before and after photo. I gained that excess weight in the hospital. On the right is a year ago. On the left, is 2 years ago.
Wow!
@kmdskit3 Yep. A big difference.
I have to hide my body. Do you see why? This is from last month. I removed all my body photos off my profile for safety reasons.
You are definitely making amazing strides in your appearance. I know I said it before but you have a lot of potential for a physique contest.
@kmdskit3 My face is an issue.
@kmdskit3 What is a physique contest?
@kmdskit3 I don't want to have people looking at my body like that in contests. I don't like people staring and critiquing.
That's completely your choice. For me a physique contest is just comparing bodies to an ideal of muscularity, structure, symmetry and leanness. It has nothing to do with if you're attractive or sexy or anything like that. You could check out some shows sometime to see what they're about. Even if you never want to compete you can still work on your 'gym' body. You could develop your physique just for yourself. If you want some pointers feel free to ask. I love to help anyone who's seriously interested in working out and developing their physique.
@kmdskit3 Will the stair stepper thing help with my glutes?
Wear shorts=get more attention. Cover up more=get left alone more. Your body, your choice but maybe let your mood and energy levels for the day decide?
I guess people tell me I look good in jeans and a workout shirt. Who knew?
Men stare at me when I'm covered up too. I should challege them to a staring contest. Lol.
@Sarahroo29 This new body of yours is getting you more attention than you're used to right? Well you get to decide what you'll put up with and who you'll tell to leave you the fuck alone. Maybe not necessarily in those exact words... Just please be safe.
@kmdskit3 I've never had a body like this before. It's only been 4 months.
@kmdskit3 Soon my glutes will be in shape. I look at how good other women and men's are at the gym, and I want that. It's coming along slowly. I just need to get the underflab to lift.
Above in a comment is why I hide.
@Sarahroo29 "... underflab to lift. " ? You burn fat and develop muscle. Fat is lost from your entire body: there is no such thing as spot reduction of fat. I'm on Instagram if you want some training or nutritional advice. A lot of folks I work with send me pictures and video for advice. You could do the same if you want. And once again congratulations on your transformation AND realizing there's more to do!
@kmdskit3 Thanks.
@kmdskit3 I did lunges for a week or two. My quads were sore as well as my glutes.
I hide my body in public, also!

Posted by SilviaParkI had my first triathlon in Sunday, an indoor USATri60. Lots of room for improvement, but I'm just a beginner swimmer, and haven't taken my bike on the road yet :)
