once again the religion of peace shows its true colours [bbc.com]
So brutal .nothing gained
Ditto. Sick, big time.
Very sad and yet not surprising. It is primarily because we allow religious freedom. Criticizing and just being angry will not help anything. Religion is not regulated, they have a wide hand in everything. No questions asked and no taxes levied.
We have glorified religion and we have made religion something to adore and praise. We have to make religion a bad thing, a stigma, something the society looks down upon and loathes. Do what we did to cigarette smoking. A bad thing for you, a habit rejected by the society, a vice, a stigma! Make it unsexy. Take the glamor out of religion.
I am sure someone will say soon that religion is about peace. Religion never teaches violence.
Yea, Christianity tends to do that.
certainly historically but not so much anymore. Islam seems to be at about the same developmental stage that Christianity was in the middle ages era
@bookofmorons They're both at more or less the same level. Most Muslims aren't fundamentalist, just as most Christians aren't fundamentalist.
Fundamentalist from all religions are functionally the same.
Islam only seems worse because of our lack of contact, just like Moscow seemed so mysterious before the Berlin wall fell, and it's still misunderstood, especially by Conservatives that seem to view Russia as a valid example of how to run a government, which is OK, I suppose, especially if you're like stupid for the fucking Mafia.
Never give a religion an equal pass after establishing for yourself that they're ALL full of bull shit.
No Islam is no worse than Christianity, and no better either for that matter.
Everything you said about Islam is entirely different than my experience with Islam, and I work a lot in the Middle East with practicing Islamic customers.
Sure you can find an ignorant village in every country, including the USA.
