Turning things over in my mind .......the universe is a set of chemical reactions each impacting the other and living things are the outcomes in the huge big cauldron of matter that is constantly being churned. So it's quite a matter of chance where one is born and then thrown about in life. We do what we can do but our efforts are too miniscule against the vastness of time and existence. We go on as far as our bodies permit us to. 'Chance' therefore governs our existence but it's what goes inside our heads that keeps us happy or sad. No god or prophet has any say in this. Probably been said before but that's what human life seems to me.

The older I get the more I feel that we are a production of circumstance than effort. When I studied psychology I did not want to believe fate was pretty much predestined, but sometimes now I feel it is, it’s in my nature to keep trying though πŸ™‚

I agree. It is totally a matter of chance where we are born. The reason why nationalism and racism are so illogical and distasteful
