I think we,the people who are agnostic/atheist don't hate people who follow any religion.Because we know that everyone is equal. But on the other hand, people who follow one religion hate other religion and some followers also want to slaughter the people who don't believe in God.Because they think that their religion is superior than the others and who don't follow any religion is a subject to being slaughtered.
thanks.
That is true. They don’t realize they are “the wolf in sheep’s clothing.” A “christian” once got very violent with me, because he couldn’t persuade me to “believe.” He dared me to quote any part of the Bible, because I apparently needed to read the good book. He was not aware of the fact that I used to be a Sunday school teacher at a United Pentecostal Church. I quoted the words of Jesus where he summed up all of the 10 commandments into two commandments-“Love god with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself.” I then asked him to quote scripture, he couldn’t. That’s when he thought it appropriate to “kick my ass.”
Amazing the evil that is justified when one thinks God is on one's side.
The whole "we're right and everyone else is wrong" mentality in mono theistic religions has historically infuriated me, and likely what most kept me from ever walking through that door. Admittedly, I have far more negative feelings about mono theistic philosophies than I do many others. I simply prefer understanding over blind faith, and abhor vulnerable people being manipulated and controlled by some human interpretation of something that is inexplicable but being passed off as factual truth. One thing that I admire of philosophies such as Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism is that people are free to engage in all practices. I spent time in Taiwan and visited many different temples, and the people there engaged freely in all of them. No judgement, no recruitment, no criticism. I can absolutely respect that.
thank you for your valuable opinion.mono theistic religions are too dangerous because It doesn't allow any other religion or opinion. In Indian subcontinent Hinduism and Islam are two main religion. Most of the followers of those religion can't tolerate others.even though, most of the Muslims will kill you if you criticise any rules of their religion.on the other hand The followers of Hinduism(most of them) will not kill you for your criticism but they can't take it easily.
Just about sums up all the craziness of the believing community!
thank you.?
