OK folks... What's a free thinker and why aren't there many posts in this group? If I knew some basic definitions, I'd post something here... What do you want to see?

Personally I rely on rationalism, allowing that many things might be true, but that one can never claim anything definitely is true without substantial, positivity indicative and verifiably accurate physical evidence that can be examined and critically analyzed in peer review, and adequately explained in a theoretical construct. You can believe whatever you like. As long as you admit that it is a belief, you don't have to defend it. But if you assert your belief as a statement of fact, then you do have to defend it. Stating anything as definitely true when there is insufficient evidence to back it is dishonest. The Prince of darkness once sang in one of his songs and I quote, searching out what is true and what is lies is wise. My personal motto, truth is what the facts are.

I think most people are attracted to the idea of being a freethinker, but it implies subjects so broad that it doesn't immediately bring posts to mind.

Maybe they are to busy thinking to make a post or being a free thinker, they do not care what others think?

maybe if a person doesnt stay inside the lines, that makes them a free thinker. However, there are some members of Agnostic that really don't fit that descriptions. Its also my belief that the MORE free thinkers on AG.com. are females.Just sayin. That part is cool. The rest can prove to be most boring

(Unless you are a scammer), if you joined A.com, you are a Free-Thinker!

I really don't know why there aren't many posts. I didn't even know until you mentioned it. A wild guess would be that so many of us have allied ourselves with ideologies, there aren't many freethinkers around. On top of that, the freethinker would probably find him or herself at odds with both sides of the ideological divide. We used to call that 'falling between two stools' but I don't hear the expression anymore.

I've seen some posts by people who say that thinking outside the box is being a free thinker... But their posts sound somewhat ridiculous... I haven't any examples though because it's been awhile lol since they posted

@Cutiebeauty Boxes come in various sizes.
