My experience with being friendly, especially smiling and saying "Hi", is that it has been taken the wrong way, as if I am giving the person a signal that I like them. I would like to be friendly and say hello without worrying about sending the wrong signal. Does anyone think that its easier for a guy to smile at a woman and it not be taken wrong, than a woman smiling at a man? Wondering if anyone has had the same experience.
Life would be very dull without trying to connect with the people we see every day. My mask hides half my smile so I make an extra effort to talk To those I casually meet.
I knew when i posted this it was perhaps outdated, yet it still resonated with my own inner being in terms of showing kindness to others was the new wave of the future.
You say dull, I safe safe. Though our experiences may widely differ; I live in a big city, you may like in a small town where talking to people is more accepted and less risky.
