When we are young, we rush into love and screw it all up like a bull in a china-shop.
We talk too much but say too little,
We don't know when to shut-up and listen
We don't cry enough and...
We laugh too much to hide our pains and our heartaches,
We are scared to reach out and touch...
Now we grow old, and we still hesitate and tarry, until love passes us by like the morning mists over a lake, at the break of dawn.
We talk too much but say too little,
We don't know when to shut-up and listen
We don't cry enough and...
We laugh too much to hide our pains and our heartaches,
We are scared to reach out and touch...
Someone else's light, someone else's heart.
Recently watched a movie, "Chemical Hearts". Here's the main song from it. [Song by BEACH HOUSE] Enjoy!
And, for those of you looking for love on here, please don't be scared...don't hesitate...please reach out and take a chance.
It's only your happiness that hangs in the balance.
So, we don't learn anything.
@Green_Soldier71 We all have been burnt, however when I look back at it, I understand that I did not put in enough of myself into those relationships. At the time I thought I did but now I know I did not. There was always a fear in me that along the way, if I opened up it would be held against me.
I really like this stanza: Now we grow old, and we still hesitate and tarry, until love passes us by like the morning mists over a lake, at the break of dawn. Pretty.
@Green_Soldier71 Yes, I did.
