Well it depends on a number of factors... what are you trying to break? How big/important is it? Are there consequences? Benefits and drawbacks? It it really necessary to break and can you go on without that thing in your life? Do you have drive, determination, and discipline to see it though?

It's an amazing feeling when another person just fits. Sometimes I think that's what true love is. The comfort and stability of a somewhat boring relationship knowing that you could count on this person through thick and thin is so much better then the thrill of romanticized lust.

And it has staying power. It lasts. (Unlike "madly in love" ).

Sounds good but there is nothing like the feeling of being madly in love!

That's true but you got to enjoy it while it lasts.

You can break old patterns. Don’t try to. Do it. Trying doesn’t get anywhere. Going gets you there.

As in... "Do or do not, there is no try." ?

That would be ideal.

When love is a mutual giving celebration of life together that's more than IN LOVE not falling but LIFTED UP WHERE WE ALL BELONG nurturing satisfying inspiring to others joy radiant and irresistible departure from greed and arrogance

A contradiction in terms?

It’s hard. Damn hard. It often takes an objective observer—therapist, friend, sibling —to help you see patterns.

Well just someone you enjoy spending time with, enjoy cuddling with and enjoy being intimate with. Someone who is your best friend. Put whatever label you want on that

Very hard?
When real chemistry hits , its damn hard to be rational about things .

But it does wear off, and the dust does settle.

@Kojaksmom it does.. sometimes like a supernova , sometimes into a warm glow.

@hippydog and that's nice too!

@Kojaksmom im not against it, thats for sure ??

It's all about the heart...the personality...developing a best friendship that blends with physiological love rather than lust. I keep hoping to have that with someone...someday.

That seems like a definition of maturity.

Oooo. It is so hard to keep from being a romantic and following your heart at all costs. I too have not been smart many times! 😉 <3
