I have always loved music especially classical. My late partner was from Iran and loved middle Eastern music. I got used to it but never really appreciated it (it is in Farsi and one needs to know the words). After she died I found some of her CD's in the car and suddenly there was a connection.

An interesting thing happened because of this site. I had put together a memorial for her (it's been over 2 years now) and wanted to play this piece of music.

At the time the video came up on the screen (it was held at our Community Center) but there was no music. No one could work the controls to get the music and someone said they saw a women go into the control booth. Later, on this site, we were talking about death and feelings. She was upbeat and wanted the community to visit but no prayers and no tears would be allowed. I then realized she would not have approved of this music and it didn't happen!!

@Sheannutt There was a problem with the link. I went back to the original posting and it seems to work.

Saturday night, July 7, I was at a concert, a lady sang, SEND IN THE CLOWNS....I had heard it many times over the years, BUT her rendition, made me LISTEN ! I was brought to tears, a mix of understanding and berating myself for never listening before...It was a bit overwhelming...

I love how a few notes from a favorite song can take you back to a time and place!
