My husband died in November after a long struggle with addiction. It started with doctors too generous for many years with opiods and Xanax. The end was sad and ugly. I’m left with so many conflicting emotions. Most people seem to think I’m okay because we all saw this coming, but I’m far from it.

Although this wasn't the case with my husband when he passed I had many conflicting emotions too it seems to be part of the healing process

I am so sorry you and your dear husband had to go through such a difficult trial. People often think if you are holding it together you are ok. Far from it, right? Strong people just deal with it but that doesn't mean they are ok. Thank you for sharing your story. We are here for you if you need us. Katie
