As a longtime fan of Norwegian Superband a-ha I realise how lucky we English speaking fans are that they have always written and sung all their songs in English. They have never written in Norwegian, although when they perform at concerts in their home country, they sometimes converse to the audience in dual Norwegian/English, when they tour overseas everything is conducted in English, it is the lingua franca everywhere they go. Those fans of a-ha who do not speak English have to have the words of the songs translated into their own language …as is demonstrated here by this video made for a French speaking audience of one of the tracks from a-ha’s new album True Norh which was released in October -
