Bela Bartok was born in 1881 in a small town which was then part of the Kingdom of Hungary but due to border changes is now in Romania….descended from Hungarian nobility through his mother, he had German, Polish, Slovak and Hungarian ancestry. He based much of his work on traditional music of the Danube region, Romani, or gypsy music insipired his Romanian Folk Dances which were performed here in a live concert in Amsterdam on New Year’s Eve by Spiegelzaal Orchestra in a farewell to the old year.

@Marionville I did check and could find no videos of people dancing to his music.
This is so delightful! I don't know why I love the string instruments so much. 
Just something about the sound that is so beautiful to me.
