I’m going back to Brazil again with the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim, but this time it’s the maestro himself at the piano with his ensemble of musicians and singers performing live in Canada at Montreal Jazz Festival in 1986. The whole concert is almost an hour long…but you can dip in and out, or keep it for listening and relaxing to later in the day. Either way it transports us to those balmy Brazilian evenings on the beach…swaying to the bossanova beat…..
I've always loved this music! I will save this for later in the evening when I'm sitting outside enjoying the nice evenings we have here.
I love it too..Rhonda we know we both love the same music!
@Marionville Yes! I believe we both have pretty great taste in music too!! 🥰
@Redheadedgammy Of course we do!
Maybe my problem is that I never much liked lying on beaches! It is all pleasant music but none that I'd go out of my way to listen to or whistle at.
That was a metaphor…a form of poetic expression. I don’t go in for much lying around on beaches either…but Jobim’s music is very relaxing wherever you happen to be listening to it….beach, bedroom or garden. I love all sorts of music…from Rock n Roll to quiet, gentle Bach pastorales and relaxing Brahms lullabies. There is a time and place for most types of music depending on the occasion or mood. However if Jobim is not your cup of tea…then that’s o.k. We can’t all like everything…as I said yesterday Cliff Richard never did much for me.
@Marionville Whilst I sometimes listen to Cliff and Marty Wilde, I never listen to Elvis, though I like him well enough.
