The rock festival Rock In Rio celebrated its 30th Anniversary in 2015 and after conducting a poll in Brazil to invite back the most popular act from the previous 30 years, the band a-ha who had attracted the largest paying audience of the festival from any year…198,000 in 1991, topped the poll. They had actually disbanded at the end of 2010 with a year long series of farewell concerts, but were persuaded to come out of retirement to come together again from their various individual projects to make a new album and perform at the celebratory concert in Rio de Janeiro in 2015. It of course restarted their career and they’ve since gone on to do a series of world tours and release a further album in 2022.

It’s really a terrible shame…I really don’t fully understand why. Just imagine how big they’d be today if Americans had heard all of their music!
@Marionville We Americans really lost out on hearing a great band. It's always about the damned money though in the music industry here in the U.S.
