Another song from Magne Furuholmen today…as you know he’s keyboardist with
a-ha…but much much more than that, as he’s also a songwriter, music producer, sculptor & visual artist of international renown. He recently released a new solo album, but today I’m posting a track from one of his previous albums released in 2008 - ‘A Dot of Black in the Blue of Your Bliss” titled - Too Far, Too Fast, and is one of my favourite songs of his solo output. I think it would’ve been a great song for
a-ha, but perhaps Morten didn’t like it as he has the last word on what’s included on an a-ha album.

Perhaps he didn't think it matched the group's style as opposed to a judgment on the quality? They are all so talented in so many ways that it's impressive that they've been able to make it work together for so long.

Yes…they’re all immensely talented individuals…but I’m just guessing that Morten rejected this one, maybe Mags just wanted to keep it for his own album. Mags has said in many interviews that he can’t help hearing Morten’s voice in his head when he’s writing a song, but they don’t all end up as a-ha songs. Who knows why this one didn’t make it ! I still love it though and would just love to hear Morten sing it…
