Has anyone out there ever experienced sightings or contacts directly or abduction and provable?
Well my being an amateur astronomer since I was about 10 years old, I have seen a lot of things in the sky.
Only once could I not identify what I was seeing. This happened about 6 years ago here in northern Arizona. My wife and I were heading north on hy. 89 towards hy I 40. About 10 o'clock at night ahead of us and low in the sky there were 4 lights that seemed to hovering. They were in a checkmark pattern. About as bright as the planet Jupiter appears. One on the left and three slanting upwards to the right. We traveled about 6 more miles and these lights seemed not to move but gain a little in altitude. I pulled over at a deserted place on the road and we got out of the car. The lights very slowly moved to our right after we watched them for about 5 minutes. Still low in altitude and there was no sound whatsoever. They seemed close but that was hard to tell. The formation of the checkmark stayed for the entire time we watched them. I judged the distance to be maybe 5 miles but again that's hard to determine. It was eerie without any sound. I cannot begin to explain what I saw except if we have stealth helicopters, these were them. If it had been daylight i would have expected to be watching helicopters as that is how they moved.

Posted by starwatcher-alI missed the early phases of the eclipse but the clouds mostly left during totality. All in all a great eclipse. Next one is Nov. 8-22
