There is no collision... just alignment
The two galaxies in this image only appear to be colliding—they are separated by tens of millions of light-years, about 10 times the distance between the Milky Way and Andromeda. Further proof there’s no cosmic collision: The motion of the two galaxies indicates that they are relatively undisturbed and moving in vastly different directions. Imagine the night sky from one of the planets

yep that would be a sight to see!! They would think the universe is less empty than what we think.

And look at all the other small galaxies in the background, hundreds of them.

If you follow the link you can download a very high resolution pic and zoom in further of those galaxies.

The one in front is so diffuse. The one in back is huge!
