Further thoughts.
The zombie cosmology organization’s name? Big Bangers, of course.
Its patron saint? Georges LeMaitre.
Executive committee’s name? Neutron Star; it adjourns in 15 minutes.
Their trash can’s name? Black Hole. It never needs emptying.
Their protest chant? “There wuzza bang, There wuzza bang. There wuzza, wuzza, wuzza bang.”
Suggestions are welcome.
What is the misconception? My guess is it's supposed to say mathematics is used instead of experiments. That is not true. Scientists are making all kinds of devices for experimentation, for example the Large Hadon Collider.

Ed, the LHC is one device, intended to find the Higgs, and though press releases claim success, science requires confirmation by independent observers.
Here are a mere four of the BB's unevidenced claims.
Newton's formula failed to explain orbital velocities in galaxies , so cosmologists invented the required mass and called it dark matter.
Neutrons are known to decay in under 15 minutes, yet cosmologists say neutron stars exist.
Claims that the universe's expansion is accelerating are supported not by evidence, but by unsupported claims that dark energy is responsible.
Alan Guth's inflation, its start and stop, require changes of momentum for which there is no evidence.
Mathematics are explained by some signs which says something to do and something to substitute. But with a vast limitations. But at last it is seen that explanations of these limitations turns into a huge write up and actually comes to conclusion that is use of sign have become useless.
