Bare with me while I completely nerd out:
I recently learned that Phobos and Deimos are tidally locked - like our moon, same side faces the planet because rotational and orbital periods are the same. I wonder if this is more common in our solar system than I realize. Are any Jovian or outer planet moons tidally locked? And is this the equilibrium state? Do all moons eventually become tidally locked?
@LaMariposa I believe all moons (or maybe almost all) are tidally locked.
OMG, that is just so amazing. It is difficult to believe we are going to Mars. I Will have to keep looking on the news for updates. Thank you for sharing such an awesome moment.

@magicwatch Oh wow. That makes more sense. Watched a special on the History or National Geographic. They say Mars will never be suited for human beings. But there is much knowledge to be learned so I think it is great!
