My neighbour in central Queensland, is a FIFO worker in WA so not sure what the drama is here as he has a longer hitch but still comes home. Left last week. Another friend in mining industry flew to London not long ago, suppose those companies with the big bucks get it done.

FFS, crossing the borders should be ONE big No-No at times like these imo, unless of course you are an Essential Service like Interstate Truckies and the like delivering Foodstuffs, Building Supplies, Medical Supplies, etc, etc.
Is not the safety of EVERY person paramount in these times?
Should WE all not be thinking of every else around us and saying " Screw the Economy, Screw the Mining Companies, just concentrate on the People first and foremost.

I am fascinated that in compensation for C19 deaths the number of flu deaths this year have been significantly reduced.

I'm curious as to why you raise the issue of FIFO 's. Is your neighbour's wife or children pestering you because he is not there?

@powder is his an isolating routine? Ie. Before he mingles he is in lockdown for 2 weeks?

@powder So he may be having to do 2 weeks quarantine in WA before each shift?
