We have American interests in Australia notably Pine gap and now nuclear bomber base (supposedly refuel only, yet aerial refueling works globally) China has Interests in the Darwin Harbour and some electronic assets.
When the time comes for the clash of these two nations, Australia will be on the front line.
The majority of old men and post menopausal women of our parliament will be safe in their bunkers.
Should the clash be conventional(in these times??) warfare, China has more armed soldiers, without reserves to be called in, to totally overrun our country.
They can easily muster over a million soldiers.
Granted the logistics of moving such a large force is massive but not totally insurmountable.
America will help us only in places where it is profitable for them.
Northern Territory and northern West Australia has little too offer economically, so maybe it will be the first to be sacrificed??
