I did not make this but I thought it's a great way to use old ties if you have them.

Fun! I bought 3 lg bags of old ties at the thrift store...maybe $15 total. Am hoping to do a similar design to cover a large, round ottoman my grandparents made out of wooden spool tops in the 30's!

@Sheannutt ...Hah! My 'fun things to make ' list is long enough for the next 6 lifetimes, but If I get it done in this one, I'll share! 🙂

that is nice. I have seen people make skirts out of them back in the day

I don't think that was made from old ties as I recognize some of the fabrics...ha ha...but, it could easily be done with ties...I have a few bags of them that I was saving for a purse...I like the tabletopper idea even better! Thanks for posting!

I think having ties may not be absolutely necessary. It is nicely done.

Cool! I don't know if I have enough but when I cleaned out my dad's house, I brought home his old ties which I put in the fabric cabinet because I thought surely I could make something out of them. Never got going on it. This could be better than the thought they could go into a quilt, which I definitely do not have enough for.

Sadly, old ties are no longer cheap at the thrift stores here.
