Okay here is rug number two, this one is for a tall gentleman so is longer than the other. Feeling very proud of it. About to start on the red and green entralac one that someone has asked for. For reference the person holding it up is 5ft 6in tall.

i really likes the blue and the only other colour in the yarn that worked with it was the grey and as I was making it for a man I thought it would work.
@Budgie yeah, some of them go all weird about hot pink, lol

Maybe afghans are rugs in Australia?
I refer to it as a lap rug, lap blanket but yes it is also referred to as an afghan, which can get confusing in Oz as the Afghans were the people who brought camels to Australia and set up a trade route through the central part. The man who I made it for has had a stroke and is in care, in a recliner so I wanted something for him for when he felt cold.

The yarn actually has little bits of metallic thread so it sparkles slightly. Did not show up in the photo.
