Show and tell. This quilt pattern is called the Jewel Box pattern, I thought using batiks would make it look like jewel boxes and I think it does. I no longer quilt, just lost interest after twenty-five years and countless quilts given away.

Just a fun little project. The bell is out of wood, I carved it into a kitty and put a "clapper" mouse in it. I've done a few other animals like this, cow and dog. Usually give them away.

I have been thinking about recycling as much as I can. I am not this skilled, but I did find it a fabulous way to recycle something like cable! She is beautiful.

Need to finish carving the top and bottom, sand, and oil. The top fits in like a cork! Pretty happy with it. It’s a notch (auto correct changed bitch to notch) sanding the inside of the tube. I want to smooth it, without making it bigger.
