Quick trip to Greywolf, the sign is new at the wilderness border. There is a bridge washout and a way trail where people over the years have continued on; it soon turns to vertical rotten rock and he followed it too far. Perfect fire for sleeping ...

Camping in east San Diego county. Because the fire hazard is so high in southern California, it is often difficult to find a campsite where open fires are allowed. There is something about cooking over a campfire that connects us to all of the past.

Wow Lotta interesting and ambitious stuff here. I'm a dog-walker (so rarely more than 2-3 miles at a time) and a city-street cyclist (15-20 miles). And yet, it's moving that counts, right?

I've been doing some intense bike riding on my days off trying to toughen up for biking trails. My granddaughter is going with me this morning and then we are going to geocache a trail afterward. She likes nature but not bugs lol

Any Texans here? My favorite place to go for a day hike is Lost Maples State Park in Vanderpool. My second favorite place is Enchanted Rock State Park in Fredericksburg. Had anyone here been to either of these?
