More ice and snow than I expected. In the shady parts, the trail was shear ice-over-snow sloped perpendicular to the desired direction of travel. Exciting. Flat Top Mtn, VA, 4001 ft, 7mikes rt

Beckler Peak. Skykomish, WA. 8 miles round trip 2200 ft elevation gain. The peak was socked in but still plenty to see. Came across a snow field and orange fungus ? That resembled cauliflower. Anyone know what it is?
