I have made my first fabric pine cone. It is a bit uneven but not bad for a first attempt. I shall get better with practice. It is bigger than I want for my tiny tree but it was fun so I shall make a few to give away.

Not quilting or knitting, but this is my first cushion and it's been a steep learning curve. I think I need to trim 1/2 inch off the foam insert. It's going to be too tight. I do like how this fabric goes with my painted cupboard.

This is the look I got when I came home once to find my knitting yarn wrapped around furniture, out the doggy dog, back in, soggy, and full of grass. I think he's saying 'wasn't me- a coyote came in the doggy door and did this mess'.

I'm knitting a chunky blanket. I've restarted it 6 times. I guess I have to concentrate 100% when knitting this. I don't usually have to do that!

Hey everybody, I'm new here! My name is Fiona, I'm 18 and I've been wanting to get into quilting for a while. I was thinking that for a start I'd make a crib quilt for my friend's baby, though I'm not sure what to put on it. Any ideas?

Finished the small guest room quilt. It's a easy pattern that I tried to teach my visiting sister to quilt. But she was not interested so I did it myself. Relaxing to do a more simple pattern for a change. I like the backing enough to use it ...

Do you keep bags of completed pieces waiting for the day you feel inspired to sew them together? I have baggies full of parts for bird stuffies. Now, I'm starting bags of small Hallowe'en amigurumis. The pieces are sorted and labelled.

Hi! I’m new here. I’m a quilter. However, I haven’t done any sewing since my hubby passed away. I want to get back into it, but can’t seem to bring myself to. Any suggestions?
