Democratic convention opens with appeal to right-wing Republican support
The opening night of the Democratic National Convention featured an appeal to right-wing Republicans to support the Biden-Harris ticket, with Senator Bernie Sanders declaring that it was necessary to unite “yes, with conservatives” to defeat President Trump for reelection.
And the grand illusion begins.

One does wonder how the elite powers will continue to get what they want from Biden. Will he reverse the vast drainage of wealth from the poor to the billionaires? Will he give a better deal to non-whites? Will he care about climate change? Oil drilling in parks and the arctic? Gas leakages and abandoned sites? Crumbling infrastructure? The list goes on and on.

Sadly I have reached the point where I just want trump and his supporters gone. If this dnc ticket does the trick fine.
That "fine" is like the one you give when a therapist is just starting to get to know you and you're asked how do you get along with your mom and you answer "fine".
I can't deal with the thought of 4 more years of trump.
I've read Mary Trump's book. We have had other president's that were self centered, egoistical, racist, etc. - Jefferson, Washington, Teddy Roosevelt - but they were intelligent, they learned how to appear empathic, they could control to a large degree their egos. No one has gotten out of the trump family unscathed by daddy fred and son donald.
That does not mean I will stop demanding better and trying to get my circle of friends to see the grand illusion for what it is.
