Defend the Cuba Revolution and Struggle for More Socialism, Not Less!

“Capitalism transforms water into a commodity, food into a luxury, education into an impossibility and basic healthcare into a distant dream.’

Hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths, an economic crisis, broken supply chains, killer cops, mass incarceration, government surveillance, nuclear weapons, irrational anti-social mass shootings, normalized racism, homelessness, crumbling schools, depression, fear, suicides, and obscene disparities in incomes and wealth—all the features of a moribund, brutal, anti-human global colonial-capitalist system in the United States—and we are supposed to be defensive about socialism! Give me a break.

Yet, the propagandists of death never sleep. Even as their system is being exposed as the generator of global warming (climate change), nuclear madness, cultural degeneration, and strange, violent societies and people, the ideological dirty workers are busy diverting attention away from the failures of their system to the internal contradictions found within the few examples of societies struggling to remake themselves in ways that center the needs and aspirations of the people.

[blackagendareport.com]

Ladies and gentlemen! The current Cuba issue, as we have recently discovered, was manufactured approximately a week before the protest made the news headlines. Orchestrated from an Eastern country on social media and rolled out across the big pond to Florida's elite Cuban sanctuary. We give you the great distraction. Welcome to the illusion. This isn't about Cuba, this is about the Biden continuation of ruling class rule. Cuba is being used as an eclipse of campaign promises, poorly managed virus control, and continuance of growing warring in the middle east. Yemen, Syria, and Africa be damed. It's also a distraction from what you could have. What they're preventing in other countries.

{If the social and economic conditions in Cuba, North Korea and Venezuela are supposed to be the result of the inherent flaws of socialism, why the sanctions, subversions, and outright attacks on those projects? If socialism is such an inherently unproductive and unnatural system, just let them implode based on their own supposed internal contradictions.

The propagandists will say these societies would indeed implode if it was not for some dictator or repressive system that keeps the population in check. This is where the trope of the brutal dictator and the suffering, fearful people is deployed ready for liberal—and even radical—white saviorism.

The social gains under an emerging socialist project like the reduction of poverty, literacy, and inequality, as well as the provision of free healthcare, education, and free or affordable housing are not mentioned or are dismissed as irrelevant because these policies supposedly come at the cost of freedom!}

I'm in the wrong realm of reality, for I seemingly misunderstand this word---freedom.

{Joe Biden can caution Cuba not to “crack down” on protesters with a straight face. The same Joe Biden whose failure to defend democracy in Haiti created the crisis in that country. The same Joe Biden who claimed it was permissible for the Israelis to lob artillery shells into residential neighborhoods in Gaza because the Israeli colonialists had a right to defend themselves against the colonized Palestinians they were oppressing. And the same Joe Biden who has been silent on the over 70 deaths during the recent national strike at the hands of Colombian security forces, who have been armed and trained by the United States.}

Let me state this again, as I did before elected. Joe Biden is the democrats equivalent to John McCain. He may have more blood on his hands and the helping cause of unnecessary tragedy worldwide than any other that didn't warrant him a single vote. He should have been left on the shelve! But no, we had to unleash the monster again 😟

{The Cuban revolution has survived 62 years of consistent subversion and outright attacks from the United States and its white-supremacist colonial allies. The revolution has nothing to be ashamed of. It has been a beacon of hope and a model for millions around the world. That Cuba needs to defend itself against capitalism and against the billions of people around the world living in abject poverty is absurd.}

Look no further than your own. Where their rates are better. Both on a social structure of the positive and negative aspects in most cases.

{It is capitalism that degrades and destroys Mother Earth. It is capitalism that transforms water into a commodity, food into a luxury, education into an impossibility and basic healthcare into a distant dream. The colonial-capitalist system is responsible for millions dying in genocidal wars. It created race and perpetuates white supremacy. It is U.S. and European state policies in the form of sanctions that deny peoples and nations medicines in the midst of a pandemic. It is the rapacious greed of capitalists and the warmongering states they control that have imposed inhumane conditions on poor states, which has made it impossible to pay back the odious loans they often had been forced to assume. This situation creates devastating consequences for their people. Resources cannot be devoted to providing healthcare, education, housing, a clean environment, food, and a means to a living because the people's resources must be used to pay bankers in the West.}

It is the reason drug cartels and metropolitan gangs can grow virtually unchallenged and oppress vast swaths of communities creating ----- wait for it------!migrants!

{To confuse the populations and mobilize them against their own interests, the capitalists deploy not only their traditional liberal and conservative ideologues. They let loose the social-imperialist intelligentsia—who are fundamentally anti-communist and Bernsteinian social democratic, at best—to provide a left cover to imperialist intrigue. This intrigue is framed as being in opposition to “authoritarianism,” a term and idea that bourgeois propagandists discovered through focus groups can be used to undermine left projects by mobilizing the sensibilities of the soft, materially corrupted and NGOed latte-left in the United States and Western Europe.}

In other words. In 2016 we had a vast movement of people willing to support a socialist candidate. I've argued, and continue to argue, that the democratic party poorly neglected to read the US population as being considerably more leaning towards democratic socialism in the Marxist sense. So they propped Bernie Sanders in a spot across from Clinton thinking she'd blow through the primary with ease. But they ended up having to rig the primary to win.

Sanders allowed himself to be used for this agenda. It became quite obvious as the primary progressed that Sanders wasn't in the race to win. He put up virtually no fight considering the vast history of Clinton's he could have used against her as a full blown capitalist and war monger. Even as she was shooting her own toes off occasionally during the primary. By the 3rd debate Sanders was basically a recored message with the same few lame talking points ignoring foreign policy. It wasn't that he didn't have one, he was suppressed from using one genuinely. You can't really believe a congressman and senator after all the years in DC who ranted against current foreign policies on multiple fronts couldn't have, and put a team together, for debating foreign policy, can you? !Come on!

Along with this in 2016 we also had the DSA (democratic socialist of America) come out of the cracks like cockroaches from virtually no where, along with their magazine Jacobin. They hit the social media sites hard. When you read between the lines the end of their road always ends at corporation and establishment boulevard. These are fake socialist entities that were put out to draw people into the democratic party. There are a few other socialist sites that go this way also. Pay careful attention to where these people attempt to lead you.

They are like large news sites with multiple journalist and commentators who's articles contradict each others work. Common Dreams, Democracy Now, and The Guardian are 3 off the top of my head. There are a slew of others that simply don't cover all ankles to get all the facts or challenge the going narrative for various reasons. I can, and use to, go on the Politics page and pick post apart all day long exposing these entities as they are as fake news but it's a waste of my time. I spent way more time attempting to hold intelligent debates with people who are simply to conditioned to spend time actually willing to want the truth.

!!!For nationally oppressed and exploited African peoples in the United States, we stand with the people of the South, where revolution is emerging. We will defend Cuba, support Venezuela, demand that North Korea’s sovereignty be respected, struggle against global militarization, and oppose U.S. and Western imperialism without equivocation, apology, or hesitation. We are clear on the enemy because we have seen it up close and personal since 1492.!!!

I find Common Dreams particularly disappointing. They will occaisionally publish articles that are critical of the Dems, but they will almost never allow viewpoints or articles that promote the support of third parties instead of the fake opposition Dems. And esp. around election time, every two or four years, they impose a blackout on discussion of third parties, deleting comments and banning commenters for advocating voting third party instead of for Dems. It's obvious that CD is a Dem Party front, the same as MSNBC, where the real purpose is trashing the Repubs, but more importantly making sure no real progressives or third party candidates get elected at the fed level.

Sites like this you have to know and choose your journalist or commentator carefully. Jake Johnson is probably the best at Common Dreams. First one must be able to recognize when these people are manipulating you into a certain direction. Are they giving you all sides of an issue? Are they exposing all relative information, or are they controlling the narrative to fit an agenda?

i was a crew member of a Canadian Navy ship during the cuban crisis. as it turned out my release came thru in nov 1962 & i was taken ashore to a small town in southern nova scotia after 36 days at sea.
i had no opinions of what had happened in cuba at that time. but since then i came to realize that the US govts have done almost everything in their power to destroy the cuban socialism/communism system in which the average cuban had benefited immensely, initially. they still have a better health care system: e.g none of them are bankrupted bc of a catastrophic illness, as are 10s of1000s of americans each year; and their longevity is higher than the average american while their infant mortality rate is lower. but the vast majority of americans have no clue about that.
the only reason that cubans have suffered privations is bc of crippling sanctions put on by US govts.
however, most americans are brainwashed into believing the poor standard of living experienced by cubans today is another example of the failure of socialism. they have no clue that americans have socialism as well. but the american socialism is designed to benefit large corporations & the wealthy.
