My coffee beans went from $19.99 to $24.99. Yesterday my wife came home to inform me of this. She told me that it anyone told her that inflation isn't happening due to these tariffs, she was going to punch them right in the face. I'm pissed. I love my 8 O'clock coffee beans to grind at home. I've been drinking this coffee brand for decades. I remember when it was as low as at least $7.99 a bag. Fortunately she's locked into a mail order for $14.99 and we only get it at the store if we're about out. She isn't sure yet if that price will go up also.
I know you all wanted to have that information delivered to you

@girlwithsmiles I have studied both history and economics the patterns are the same when certain policies are enacted. Right now the state of California where I live has a bad choice as governor. He wants power and is determined to be the next president so he plays games instead of taking the right course and working towards secession taking Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii with us. Doing this we could encourage other states to follow suit and connect through treaties with Canada and Mexico creating a North American Union that would utterly end the power of the far right in the US within the next generation. California and New York leaving alone would destroy the ability of the other states to operate financially leaving them in the same condition that Russia, North Korea and Iran are in right now...
@Lizard_of_Ahaz That’s a lot to take in. I hope the far right’s power does get hobbled, they seem to gave too much of it. But financial instability that leads to some communist like state is not sounding good either.

Well, they were warned. I'm good with my lower price on my coffee through the end of February but after that I know the price will be more unless the tariffs come off. I've been buying the same brand for about 8 years, whole beans, organic, it is soooooooooooo good!!
I did stock up on a few things in cans and bottles but things live extra virgin first pressing can't be stocked up for to far out, nothing worse than old olive oil or any sort.
This again is a smoke screen to keep folks focus on what he is really up to - looting the money of America. Billions are flowing into his coffers from the wealthy and corporations. Military industrial complex and pollution producer are unbridled and ready to have at it.
I'm so tired of stupid people.

I've been stocking up, too. Recently I couldn't find the lotion I thought I'd bought so I stocked up again ... then I found it so now I have 13 jars of it! Food may eventually be slim pickens but I'll have soft skin for quite a while! lolz!
His followers may be stupid but they're also self-involved so I expect they won't be able to tolerate empty shelves as well as we do. When they turn, they'll turn hard.

This is what government for business interests rather than people interests look like. Our government just as bad, you even tariff us and Europe, doing it the hardest from Russian sanctions. I don't know any Australian who will buy your beef, banned due to biosecurity; we don't have cattle diseases on this little island of ours. But we kowtow to the empire, do as we are told. The USA own us, we are not a sovereign country.
More Trump in his infinite wisdom decided to tariff about the only country the US had a trade surplus with, Brazil, to fight BRICS. So China jumped in to buy all coffee from them.
Not only is there more tea in China..........................

Did you see how a $50 million bounty was put on a head of state's head by the US, Maduro in Venezuela? Love his response. He's offered a $50 million reward for release of the Epstein files.

Trump said recently that Ukraine has lost 8000 this year and Russia 120000. Now if those are the figures US spooks are feeding him to con him to take on Russia...........Some are going to be in for a big surprise. You just need look at recent exchanges of the fallen eg a lot more Ukrainian bodies handed over than Russian ones.

What used to be a $60 grocery run for me is now $100 or more! I started eating out instead and that is also expensive! These tariffs are fucking us and the stupid sheep of the twatwaffle are cheering this on!

The stupid sheep somehow think this is all "owning the libs" and go with it because America was founded as a Republic. That justifies what Trump is doing in their minds and they believe he will work it out in the end.
When I shopped this week, every single item had increased by at least 15% and usually more. It was crazy! What really pisses me off is the way the stores are being their typical opportunistic selves and increasing prices for items that aren't impacted by the tarrifs - they seem to be doing it for every item across the board. Stupid shits.
