State of Fear: Trump unleashes tirade against socialism
(For the first time in American history, a president of the United States, in a nationwide television address, denounced the growing popular support for socialism. “We are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country,” Trump declared. He pledged, “Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country.” His audience, Democrats and Republicans alike, registered their approval with applause.)
The entire national government just let the people they claim to serve know that what they want will not be tolerated. A majority of the population is in favor of more progressive to social policies today than in recent history due to failing governing and inequality. Last night they were told they aren't of concern.
Have no doubt! We are indeed in the mist of being the Forth Reich marching into total fascism.
I'm glad you posted this. I was trying to figure out why that particular part of his speech bothered me so much.
YEAH!! Close to 60% (could be more) Americans want better government, an end to inequality that healthcare and education for all would bring and that motherfucker just body slammed us to the ground.
We need to fight for ALL Americans and demand our elected officials uphold their sworn duty.
Last figure I seen was over 70%. Those leaning more left, disgruntled democrats who think the government isn't doing their job, with a vast majority of millennial's. The youth in our nation especially want change and more in favor with a socialized government.
@William_Mary And yet the right leaning radio thought this was the best SOTU ever. JFC!! To me it was a circus show, trump as a faux ring master (enuff drugs and warnings from his puppet masters) sounded almost normal. I really don't know if a real by the people for the people government will ever be a reality.
There was good reason for him denouncing socialism as it has never worked. I’d just as soon keep my hard earned money as give it to the government so they can waste it on something frivolous.
When you truly understand why is when you understand you're wrong.
