The Political Playbook of a Bankrupt California Utility
Take a look at the 2nd picture in the 4 picture slide show. In that picture you will find a woman who's made a career out of being a stiff harsh prosecutor on the commons that made their way into her courts, especially African Americans. But as attorney general of California, that hardcore justice towards a corporation can't be found even when it comes to death and total destruction. And she wants to be our president now.
At the end of one paragraph the company is ready to hand out $130 million in bonuses, at the start of the next paragraph they are set to file bankruptcy.
(If Pacific Gas and Electric spent as much time and money and effort running their gas and electrical facilities as they did on politics they wouldn’t be in this mess right now.)
This is true in all of politics, especially in DC. If corporations put all the money they spend on campaign donations, thousands of lobbyist they pay, money put into PACs, fake philanthropy foundations, interference in other countries, they could help address the very issues we want as a nation addressed and still be as if not more profitable. I'm sure there are more ways that just aren't coming to mind right now also.
Don't you just not love corrupt judges.
@William_Mary you love corrupt judges?
@FrayedBear well, no. They piss me off!
@William_Mary I couldn't understand your disgruntled emoji reaction to my original response.
