Brazil: At Least 11 Killed by Mass Shooting in Bar

[telesurenglish.net]

(As gun violence in Brazil continues to be a worrying issue, on May 7, Brazil’s far-right President Jair Bolsonaro signed a decree to ease restrictions on gun imports and increase the amount of ammunition a person can buy.

Meanwhile, according to the Rio de Janeiro State Institute of Public Security (IPS), 434 military police killings took place in Rio de Janeiro in the first quarter of 2019, averaging seven deaths per day, becoming the most violent 90 days period in recorded history.)

That information will bring in the tourist.

My nephew just got back from Mexico like a week ago. You wouldn't catch me going to Mexico now. After that resort was in the news where people went in to a resort and started shooting everyone, that ended that vacation spot for me. Not that I ever went there before. Reporters getting killed, shootings in bars, resorts. No thanks. My nephew actually went to the resort where they shot the reporter.

Yea, I'm right there with you. I'd love to go see the Mayan Temples, but naaaa that bad.
