8 million vegetarians in the US at last count. The Cattleman's Association & the Dairy industry are feeling threatened & are pressing the agriculture department to ban vegetarian substitutes from using the words "meat, dairy, milk" on any vegetarian label. They are losing more people to death due to consumption of animal products than diet change. But that is changing as more people value their lives instead of their gluttony.

Sometimes it seems the meat/dairy industry are using the strategies of the NRA. Money sometimes turns people and businesses into skumbags.

They are not carnivores. Carnivores hunt, kill, eviscerate their prey. Carrion purchasers stalk the cadaver section & are thus scavengers.
@Countrywoman people who eat animals are carnivoric, sanitizing that whole reality into the "food industry" deludes people away from the murder of their "food" hearing it's death screams and smelling the blood and guts of dismemberment...working in a slaughterhouse should cure most of them into vegetarians
