My sister is visiting from NY so we made this together... amazing lentil soup with a great Italian bread. Sheβs not #vegan but everyone could eat this
That looks so warming! We got a little snow today and doing lentil soup also!
We are in Florida, just got back from canoeing and had the leftovers
Iβm like, mmmmm shell pasta. Of course Iβm a pasta fiend. I would probably eat a whole pot.
We made enough for the 8 of us to eat it for 3 days.
@ArdentAtheist I can still eat all that. Iβm a bottomless pit
Looks amazing but I like more broth...
Had you been here I would have given you more broth
Except the celiacs... Looks very yummy!
Ooh, sorry you have to deal with that.
@ArdentAtheist last girlfriend had it, made me hyperaware. So glad I don't have it! Level of life changes needed to manage it seems quite high to me.
Just this second I was deciding what was coming out of the pantry next. This looks like a good photo to use as a target. ?
I doubt she will ever be vegan, however this recipe used vegetable broth as where she normally would use chicken and she loved it so maybe Iβve encouraged her to eat a little less meat?
I have to admit, my wife and I aren't strictly vegan ourselves. We eat cheese and she likes our neighbor's eggs.
But every step in the right direction is to the good the way I see it.
@RichCC I agree, I spent most of my life not being vegan so Iβm not gonna get upset with people for doing what I did for 50 years, I can be an example and thatβs it. I changed for my health at first and slowly fell in love with lifestyle. Everyone must find their own path.
That's not too different from our story.
We had a strict vegan very close friend staying with us many years ago and it was easier to adopt her lifestyle than to run a house with two sets of rules. And -- apparently like you -- we discovered we liked the lifestyle.
That was almost 20 years ago and we've been ok with it since.
I also agree with find-your-own-path.
My BB/BS litttle brother moved away from home about a year ago and while we've influenced each other's diets, I never quite convinced myself that our society would nutritionally support a vegan growing boy his age so I never really pushed him too hard towards vegetarianism.
