In the book "Every Twelve Seconds" [goodreads.com] the author worked in several departments in a Nebraska slaughterhouse. One area, the kill zone, was segregated from the other areas and most of the people working in that zone only did so for a short period as it was simply too much. Imagine watching the cows obvious fear and looks of panic as they entered the area. Imagine when the stun bolt didn't kill outright and the cow was hung and cut up while still alive and kicking? DON'T. It has to work on most people's mind (I can imagine a few who were not affected (sitting in the WH right now).
