Seems another example of killing the message because of not liking the messenger. The usual omnivore and meat connection. Being an omnivore does not mean eating meat. I am an omnivore and do not eat meat of any kind. The message is spot on and I have butted heads with people on this simple, easy idea many, many times. We need to stop with our addiction to animal based food.

Many people may be confused about this. It's best to let others know why humans are considered Omnivores. It is due to our teeth. Human's have biting, tearing, ripping incisors and canines like carnivores, and chewing molars, like herbivores. Animals with such diverse teeth tend to be called Omnivores.

@Redheadedgammy From all my readings it seems our teeth are more adapted to grinding and chewing. Our canines are small and not sharp as are most carnivores. Anthropologists have strongly speculated that during our hunting gathering period people subsisted far more on gathered food than what was hunted. I understand the terminology of omnivore and the chapter on squirrels and rats in the book "Urban Bestiary" mentioned that Rats are the most omnivorous animals of all. They will eat almost anything (even worse than Asians lol).

However, again, just because someone can does not mean they should. Dogs can live very well on a vegetarian diet but cats cannot.

Thanks for reminding me but I have been wanting to post something that might get some blow back (but you know me I don't really care). I will post it in the vegetarian section and wait for all the - comments.

Ever since I heard the theory that this pandemic began at a wet market, I have hoped that this would make the world reassess the excessive amounts of meat we consume and the disgusting factory farming practices that are a direct result. But as I always say, humans are the worst, so there is probably little chance that we will change our ways. We would have an easier time pulling guns out of their hands than burgers.
